18A - Create a Customer Avatar

My Customer Avatar:

My ideal Customer Avatar is a 20-year-old male or female learning the ropes to adulthood and going through college. The reason this avatar is so perfect for my model is because of the unmet needs that this person would have. They are in the middle of juggling their financial life, academic life, and social life, and in this stage of life, the social aspect most likely involves experimenting with going out and “partying”. In these scenarios it is definitely illegal to drink alcohol but it is very naïve to believe that students progressing through universities and colleges alike do not get involved with it. In these scenarios it is also likely that things can get out of hand and substance involved injuries can occur very frequently. For this avatar there would be a fear that would be associated with reporting these types of injuries and most of the time they will do what they can do not involve officials that would result in some sort of reprimanding for their actions. This added fear is what often can cause further injury or for that injury to not be properly assessed.

There are a number of similarities between my avatar and I. I am 19 and in college and have seen people experimenting at this stage of life and a number of situations in which people’s lives can become in danger. I think that this similarity is what has caused me to focus most of my efforts on this avatar and therefore I don’t think that this is coincidental at all.
