My Entrepreneurship Story

Last year, during my freshman fall here at UF, I began watching "Shark Tank" during my free time. I began to watch more and more clips and episodes on YouTube and learned a lot more about start up companies and which types were seemingly more or less successful. It was very interesting to see which types of start-ups the "Sharks" were interested in investing and watching the show also gave me insight into how the Sharks themselves made their own names. This was my first interaction with Entrepreneurship as previously through my life I'd focused on Political Science and had been eager to attend Law School. This was what led me to take Microeconomics and ultimately change my major into the Business School.

I decided to take ENT3003 because I think the class will give me a lot of insight and skills in areas that will benefit me and make me a useful asset to a company or a successful business owner. So far the class seems very interesting and I am excited to continue with the content of the course.

  1. Matthew, my story is actually very similar to yours in that I was also introduced to entrepreneurship by watching "Shark Tank". The best part about it is that I also used a photo of Mark Cuban in my post! Many people don't like him but I have the uppermost respect for what he has done. I am also extremely excited to learn for this course because I feel like it can really assist in many aspects of life and scenarios that deal with business.
